Common questions.
Can a team have people on different plans?
Yes. A workspace can hold any mix of Explorer, Viewer, Builder, and Loop seats. Each person holds their own license based on the job they do. The first paid seat in a workspace unlocks team invites — every invitee needs their own paid license. There is no shared seat pool and no volume discount on seats.
What happens when I upgrade?
No proration. When you upgrade, your billing cycle resets to today, you pay the new price starting now, and your caps refresh immediately to the new plan's limits. No partial-month math, no credit calculations. The immediate cap reset is often the reason people upgrade when they hit a limit.
What do Recipients see? Do they need an account?
Recipients are people who receive a shared Explanation or Dashboard Guide. They never log in and never pay. If you're on Explorer, your shared content carries a prominent "Made with DashExplain — Try it free" header band. If you're on a paid plan (Viewer, Builder, or Loop), it's a minimal "Powered by DashExplain" footer link only.
Can I switch between products?
Yes, any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period. Switching products doesn't delete your history — your Explanation history and Builder work stay regardless of which product you hold.
What counts as one "run" against the Explorer cap?
Each feature has its own counter. An Explain run is one dashboard explanation. A Guide session is one guided walkthrough (the Explain at the end is part of the Guide, not counted separately). An Audit run is one dashboard or wireframe analysis. A Mirror run is one Reflect-as-persona operation. A Spec Sheet generation is one AI generation — edits and exports don't count. A Dashboard Guide generation is one generation or regeneration — publishing without regenerating doesn't count. All caps reset together on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC.
How does annual billing work?
Annual plans are billed once upfront. Viewer annual: $60/yr. Builder annual: $228/yr. Loop annual: $300/yr. Annual plans are non-refundable. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and will not auto-renew.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) via Stripe. No PayPal or bank transfers at this time.
